Chris played at the original Overstone Road ground before moving with the club to its present Redbourn Lane home. A 1st XV centre/wing and keen sevens player, Chris played in numerous Pub 7s in the early days of the competition.

Chris remained a regular on the touch line and in the bar with his wife Sally, many friends and former teammates for well over 60-years. The rugby club was like a second home with his sons Jon and Nick, nephew Mark and grandsons Archie & Joe all proudly wearing the club shirt.

He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by many.
