This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the National Pub 7s and its 58 year history.

In 2025, (following a recent merger between the LIT7s Series and the Super Sevens Series), the LIT Super Sevens Series will become the UK’s largest rugby sevens competition, featuring over 200 Men’s and Women’s Social, Open, and Elite teams.

National Pub 7s will be hosted by HRFC on the 21st June, 2025 as the 4th leg of the series and will be live streamed.

Established in 2012, the Super Sevens Series has been a platform for top players like Sam Cross, Harry Randell, and Semi Radrada. It has also attracted international teams from Hong Kong, China, Germany, and Spain.

Ellaine Gelman, CEO of LIT Super Sevens remarked, “We are excited to add the National Pub 7s to the 2025 Series. Harpenden has maintained one of the longest running sevens tournaments in the UK and really understands what spectators and players enjoy from this sport”.

National Pub 7’s Chairman, Matt Dyckhoff added “This is wonderful recognition of the efforts put in by so many volunteers at HRFC over the last 6 decades and sets us up wonderfully for our 60th tournament anniversary in 2026. The addition of the 16 Men’s and 12 Women’s LIT Elite teams will supercharge the existing format of Men’s Open, Men’s Social, Women’s and Vets(+40) social sides”.
