The make up of the 1st XV opponents for the upcoming season has been confirmed.

As we prepare for our third season at level 5, the teams we will be facing next season have been announced with some familiar opponents returning to the fold.

North Walsham drop down from National 2 East after a difficult campaign where they lost every game apart from one win against Henley and a draw against Wimbledon. Promoted Colchester will face the challenge of level 4 next season. We last met the Norfolk side in the last game before the COVID enforced suspension of the league in 2020, in a 33-3 away defeat.

Two familiar promoted sides also enter the league in the form of Amersham and Chiltern and Southend Saxons, two sides we also last met in the season prior to the pandemic.

Our neighbours from Buckinghamshire clinched the Regional 2 Thames league ahead of Belsize Park and HAC with their 17 try bonus points from 20 matches making the difference in the end.

After losing their first game of the season to Woodford, Southend swept all before them. Winning 24 consecutive games which culminated at Twickenham in the defeat of Northampton Old Scouts in the Papa Johns Cup Final in May.

We look forward to meeting up with with these sides again from September. The remainder of the league remains the same, as per the below:

HARPENDEN
North Walsham
Sudbury
Letchworth GC
Shelford
Oundle
Tring
Old Northamptonians
Bedford Athletic
Southend Saxons
Amersham & Chiltern
