After being at the heart of Harpenden Rugby Club club for more than a decade, Sean McLoughlin has stepped down from the role of Chairman.
Sean joined the club in 2013 and achieved an incredible 153 1st XV caps. He has dedicated his time at the club not just to playing but also taking on several positions such as Director of Rugby as well as Chairman. Sean has stepped down after 2 and a half years due to an exciting change in his career, however his achievements as Chairman have been groundbreaking.
Sean has introduced governance and compliance to our ever-growing organisation in a manner will keep the club in good stead for many years to come. His energy and dedication has been felt throughout the club from the mini & junior to the senior men’s and women’s sections and will be greatly missed by all.
His proudest rugby achievement was playing for the 1st team alongside his son, Sam. We wish Sean, Sam and of course his wonderful & supportive wife Mel, the very best for the future.
