At Harpenden we aim to develop the youth of today into the rugby players of tomorrow.
We play to win because success strengthens a club and brings with it that vital element, enjoyment. From the youngest mini player to our slightly older members, we all enjoy rugby, we enjoy our club and we take great pride in our jersey.
Following on from the Government announcement of the cessation of the national lockdown and the commencement of outdoor organised sport (regardless of tier), we have been informed by the Rugby Football Union that from Wednesday 3rd December community and children's rugby will return to Phase D of the Return to Rugby Roadmap; the same phase we were in prior to the lockdown. We have been told that this is under constant review with the Government at present with specific guidance for each tier to be published early next week.
Based on Harpenden falling into Tier 2, we await full guidance and protocols regarding clubhouse opening; use of the indoor facilities; bar and catering etc. Once we have this information, we will provide a further update to all members next week.
As usual your coaches and administrators will be in touch to confirm pitch space and timing following the updates next week.
We look forward to seeing the club engaging in rugby again very soon.
